Renting a Car in Brooklyn

John F. Kennedy International is the closest airport to Brooklyn's downtown business district. The airport's eight terminals each have a baggage claim and pre- and post-security shops and restaurant options. You can rent a car from the National branch at JFK or you can avoid some of the cross-town traffic by catching a cab that will take you the 16 miles to the downtown Brooklyn National Rental Car agency

While many opt to use public transportation, having a rental car for traveling around Brooklyn is a terrific way to get around town without reliance on others. Go where you want, when you want. Given the number of people that live in New York City, parking can be tricky so, give yourself some extra time to find proper accommodations.

Take a Break from Work

There are some excellent hotels within a few blocks of the business district and even more choices across the Brooklyn Bridge. Visit Juliana's Pizza for a New York-style pie and a bottle of wine to take back to your room. For a great power meal during the day, meet co-workers at Gran Electrica for Mexican-inspired breakfast and lunch plates. If you need to close a deal over a nice dinner, woo your clients at the iconic Peter Luger Steak House. For an equally impressive meal but with some lighter fare, check out Vinegar Hill House with delectable choices that include gourmet dishes and top-of-the-line wines.

Business trips often have limited amounts of leisure time so, if you find yourself with a little time to spare, take a walk along Prospect Park's walkways through enchanting. Play tennis, basketball, or ice skate in the winter. The park also has a zoo because, why not have a zoo? Be sure to visit the Brooklyn Heights Promenade at night to take in Manhattan's twinkling skyline.

Where Work Gets Done

The Brooklyn Expo Center is the city's largest venue for conventions, conferences, trade shows, and exhibits. It's less than 30 minutes from JFK International and has dozens of hotels surrounding the site making it easy to find lodging nearby. Beyond the conference center, Brooklyn is a major hub for prominent companies, particularly in the tech sector. If you’re coming to Brooklyn for business, it’s easy to stay within the borough for all activities.
